The Femme Identifier was founded by Keila J. in 2025. Frustrated by the lack of elevated jewelry options that spoke to her queer identity, she took her passion for jewelry and storytelling and created The Femme Identifier™ - one staple jewelry piece that would become synonymous with queer femmes so that its wearer could avoid any ambiguity or confusion.

Claimiing the word ‘femme’
what is a ‘femme’?
While often associated with femininity, the term “femme” goes beyond any aesthetic expression. Going back to the 1940s and ‘50s, ‘femme’ has a long history of influencing queer liberation movements, policy, and pop culture. In short, ‘femme’ represents an identity reclaimed by those who defy societal norms.

The Femme Identifier strives not only to increase visibility but also to redefine and elevate its concept altogether.

The Femme Identifier is for anyone who identifies with the word ‘femme.’ Plain and simple! If you are a queer person and find freedom identifying as a femme or even just have femme days on occasion, this bracelet is for you.
will my bracelet get me dates?
We cannot guarantee The Femme Identifier will get you more dates. We can, however, guarantee an elegant addition to your everyday style! The more visible you are, the more empowered you are to connect with the ones you desire most ;)
why just one bracelet?
Queer femme symbols are everywhere, but meaning gets diluted when there are too many. Rather than add to the clutter of competing icons, we provide clarity.

YES! We welcome all custom requests for our solid gold options. This includes yellow gold, engravings, and your stones of choice (sapphires, tourmaline, etc.).

Our solid gold version is made of the finest white and rose gold. While made to endure the toughest conditions, like the vermeil, it is best to handle with tenderness, love, and care.
We work with trusted suppliers to achieve a perfectly balanced pink gold tone that works for every skin tone, all while maintaining the highest standard of metal.
How should I store my femme identifier?
14k/18k: Store in a cool, dry place when not being worn.
How should I clean my femme identifier?
14k/18k: Use warm water and soap to gently brush any debris off of your bangle. Professional polishing is recommended once every six months.
return/refund policy
how long do i have to make a return?
Upon purchase, customers have 30 days to return for store credit. No item may be returned for a refund. Your Femme Identifier must be in original sellable condition to complete return for store credit.
Return Requirements
Items must be in their original condition without signs of wear or damage.
Items returned by mail must be in all original packaging (box, polishing cloth, and pouch included).
If exchanging for a different size, please note all bangles are made-to-order in efforts to prevent waste. Each order will take 4-6 weeks to ship.
