The Femme Identifier was founded by Keila J. in 2025. Frustrated by the lack of elevated jewelry options that spoke to her queer identity, she took her passion for jewelry and storytelling and created The Femme Identifier™ - one staple jewelry piece that would become synonymous with queer femmes so that its wearer could avoid any ambiguity or confusion.
When you wear The Femme Identifier, you are announcing to yourself and the world that everything you desire is already yours to claim.

what is a ‘femme’?
While often associated with femininity, the term “femme” goes beyond any aesthetic expression. Going back to the 1940s and ‘50s, ‘femme’ has a long history of influencing queer liberation movements, policy, and pop culture. In short, ‘femme’ represents an identity reclaimed by those who defy societal norms.

The Femme Identifier is for anyone who identifies with the word ‘femme.’ Plain and simple! If you are a queer person and find freedom identifying as a femme or even just have femme days on occasion, this bracelet is for you.

We cannot guarantee The Femme Identifier will get you more dates. We can, however, guarantee an elegant addition to your everyday style!
why just one bracelet?
Queer femme symbols are everywhere, but meaning gets diluted when there are too many. Rather than add to the clutter of competing icons, we provide clarity.

rose Gold vermeil
Our vermeil (pronounced “ver-may”) is a thick layer of 18k solid gold coated over sterling silver. It lasts longer than regular gold plating and provides the look and feel of solid gold jewelry at a fraction of the price.
Vermeil will naturally tarnish over time, especially when exposed to environmental factors like air pollution, moisture, and items that contain sulfur; however, it is easy to restore the shine of gold vermeil jewelry with proper care and maintenance.
14k rose Gold
Our solid 14k version is made of 90% recycled gold. While made to endure the toughest conditions, like the vermeil, it is best to handle with tenderness, love, and care.
We work with trusted suppliers to achieve a perfectly balanced pink gold tone that works for every skin tone, all while maintaining the highest standard of the metal.
How should I store my femme identifier?
Vermeil: Store in a safe, dry place—such as the anti-tarnish pouch that comes with your purchase. This will help to protect your piece when not being worn.
To prevent oxidation, avoid dark, box enclosures to ensure breathability. Use your princess stand for easy storage and accessibility.
14k: Store in a cool, dry place when not being worn.
How should I clean my femme identifier?
Vermeil: Do not over-polish and do not use steam cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners on vermeil jewelry. If your vermeil discolors, use the polishing cloth to revive it.
14k: Use warm water and soap to gently brush any debris off of your bangle. Professional polishing is recommended once every six months.
return/refund policy
how long do i have to make a return?
Upon purchase, customers have 30 days to return for store credit. No item may be returned for a refund. Your Femme Identifier must be in sellable condition to complete return.
Return Requirements
Items must be in their original condition without signs of wear or damage.
Items returned by mail must be in all original packaging (tags, box, and pouch included).
If exchanging for a different size, please note all bangles are made-to-order in efforts to prevent waste. Each order will take 6-8 weeks to ship.
